Middle East: Long-distance communication optical cable in desert areas
Customer background: Saudi Arabian telecom operator needs to deploy cross-city backbone network in desert environment.
Requirements: high temperature (70℃+), sand and dust erosion, long-distance transmission (single section ≥80 kilometers).
Solution:
Customized double-layer armor (stainless steel belt + UV-proof sheath), tensile strength ≥3000N.
Using low-loss G.652.D optical fiber, the relay distance is extended by 20%, and the MPE material is used to withstand high temperature of 80 ℃.
Results: Completed the laying of 1,200 kilometers of backbone network, with zero interruption in 5 years.
